In May of 1997, James Holmes, president of J Productions, decided that the dances he was attending in school were boring and just lacked a
at what kids liked and didn't like about their dances.
Over the next thirteen years, James would spend countless hours and money developing the ultimate school dance experience and
incorporating that into a various amount of events. With determination and constant research, James was able to develop J Productions into
a powerhouse name is production and DJ services!
Today, J Productions stands as the largest family owned and operated entertainment company in New England. It services three states
regularly with regional service available to an additional seven states. A fleet of trucks transports two major rigs of sound and lighting to over

Our Mission Statement

The J Productions logo and the name itself are a pretty amazing symbol. The J Productions name and logo are featured on more than 50
different websites and publications. J Productions originally started as DJJay Entertainment. James took his first name, thought of a nickname
associated with it, and hence the DJJay name was born. Used in Junior High for it would be just some 5 years later.
In 1999, DJJay Entertainment became DJJay Entertainment New England. The new additional word had stressed the commitment to service
more than just Massachusetts in the future. But as time went on, the size of DJJay Entertainment New England and all it had to offer was
stretching outside the borders of just entertainment. It was quickly becoming a production company.
In 2001, DJJay Entertainment New England changed names to become J Productions. Very simple, taking the first letter of James' name and
adding productions behind it made the J Productions name come alive. Just three months into the new logo, vehicles were lettered and the
company started developing ways in which to assure logo recognition at events and in publications. James wanted a very fun and exciting
logo. So, the J Productions logo was created. But that wasn't all.
Now that the logo, with the three stars and fun fonts had been created, an appropriate slogan was needed to compliment the logo. Some of
the ideas were, "Number one for summer fun in the sun" "A party never sounded so good" "Lighting the future of mobile entertainment" and
then came the one that would be inscribed onto the J Productions logo...The Future of Mobile Entertainment.
So what's next for the J Productions logo and name? Nothing. James has said this logo will outlast the company because it has served well
since it's introduction. So next time you see the J Productions logo, you'll know where it came from and how it got there.
